for the last few weeks i've found myself frustrated because i cannot see God working nor do i sense His presence. both jobs demand the majority of my day and every other spare moment is devoted to reading a few verses in the Word, eating, and planning the wedding. in all the hussle and bussle of daily life i find i've lost perspective.
the fact is, God is even present in the ordinary (at my desk at the office as I answer phones) as well as on the moutain top. His heart is that i would simply acknowledge Him in everything- He does the Keeping and His grace is sufficient for me! hurray!
"all the bread your soul has eaten has come down from heaven, and all the water of which it has drunk has flowed from the living rock- Christ Jesus the Lord. your soul has never grown rich in itself; it has always been a pensioner upon the daily bounty of God; and hence your prayers have ascended to heavenfor a range of spiritual mercied all but infinite. your wants were innumerable, and therefore the supplies have been infintely great, and your prayer have been as varied as the mercies have been countless. then have you not cause to say, 'i love the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplication'? for as your prayers have been many, so also has been God's answers to them." c.h. spurgeon.
